I'm not quite sure why Katie and Brendon thought that Skene could be trusted with a blow-torch but trust him they did.

We went to visit the slides at the Tate this weekend. They shouldn't have been scary but they were. A little like skiing down the escalator at Angel. Argh!

Magic Rabbit

It is with great sadness that I must announce the demise of Bonsai. She stopped eating in mid-January and we had high hopes for her recovery after she underwent successful dental work. Unfortunately though, her hitherto voracious appetite did not return. We force-fed her for several weeks before leaving her with the vet whilst we went overseas. She declined during our holiday and the vet took the unavoidable decision to put her out of her misery.

We have been missing Bonsai so much since our return that I managed to persuade Skene to visit the Greenwich Rabbit Rescue where we found Merlin. Merlin is a nine month old Dutch rabbit (like Bonsai) and a buck (unlike Bonsai). He's very curious and has done dozens of laps of our living room, exploring his new surroundings. It's just a shame that Bonsai isn't here to show him round.
