Tina
|
When Merlin became a little too affectionate, sitting on the back of the sofa each evening, grooming our hair and licking our necks, we headed back down to the Greenwich Rabbit Rescue to find him a girlfriend. Tina was the tiniest rabbit there and marked "not suitable for children" - not because of any fragility on her part but rather because she'd been noted for a tendency to nip. A Netherland dwarf doe and just a year old, I wouldn't be surprised if she had small rabbit syndrome and feels the need to make up for her diminuitive size with a bit of aggression. Still, after our experiences with the rather grumpy (but nevertheless adorable) Bonsai, we decided that we could rise to the challenge of Tina. But could Merlin cope? We had been warned that rabbits often fight upon being introduced and so took the necessary precautions in starting the bonding process. Fortunately, although Tina played hard-to-get, it was love at first sight for Merlin and Tina decided to tolerate him and their new shared home. You can see the photos here. Now we just have to persuade Tina to tolerate us... |
